A new study from France has shown that women who were exposed to a combination of sunlight and dietary vitamin D had up to a 45% reduced risk of contracting breast cancer. The researchers noted that “high” dietary vitamin D by itself did not correlate to a reduced risk of BC, whereas sunlight exposure alone did correlate to a lowered risk. 


By far, vitamin D is the most important because without vitamin D, you are not going to get the calcium absorption that you need.  Without the vitamin D, you are not going to be able to absorb calcium into the bones. So you may have a lot of calcium floating around in your blood but doesn’t get to the bones. So your bone mass doesn’t increase or it begins to decrease actually and becomes weak and poor. Some of the x-rays that you see, you can actually see through the bones. They are that porous, and when we start putting vitamin D and calcium in, we are going to find that those bones become more solid.


As winter approaches, aches and pains increase as vitamin D levels, already too low in most people, begin to plummet. Bringing vitamin D levels up can often alleviate or eliminate the pain.

For instance, Dr. Stewart Leavitt recently posted the results of a review of 22 scientific studies on the relationship of vitamin D deficiency to chronic pain.
